Formula basis

Daily wage = min(preLeaveMonthlyWageYen / 30, wageDailyCapYen), and base amount = daily wage * min(leaveDays, 93). The rate is 67% when employer pay is 13% or less, zero at 80% or more, and the difference from 80% in between.

Calculation method

Estimates the family care leave benefit from wages at the start of leave, leave days, and employer-paid compensation, subject to an aggregate 93-day limit.
